Marvin Potts, age 78, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, July 05, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Lyles, TN, a farmer, retired from Murray Ohio, and pastor at Whispering Hills Free Church Of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Inez Wisdom Potts; his wife, Martha Potts; one son, John Melvin Potts; one grandson, Cody Lee Pilkinton; eight brothers, Walter Potts, Wesley Potts, R. C. Potts, Floyd Potts, Clarence Potts, Monroe J. Potts, Vincent Potts, and Carl Potts; and one sister, Retha L. Potts
He is survived by three sons: Christopher Potts (Wanda) and Terry Potts (Daisy) both of Lawrenceburg, Joe Potts (Becky), Summertown, TN; two daughters: Brenda Pilkinton (Tim) and Linda Walker (Michael), Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother: Davie E.” Pete” Potts (Edna), Summertown, TN; two sisters: Earlene Chapman, Nashville, TN and Jewell Breece (Larry), Hohenwald, TN.
Funeral services for Marvin Potts were conducted at Whispering Hills Free Church Of God at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, with Kyle Conner, Thomas Mattox and Bill Webb officiating.
