- A. Threet, age 86, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN.
He was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, a self-employed farmer, co-owner of Threet Farms and of the Christian Faith. Mr. Threet previously served on the Board of Lawrence Farmers CO-OP and a member of Crossroads of Dixie Antique Tractor and Engine Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer A. and Pearl Barkley Threet; and one sister, Veora Earl Threet.
He is survived by wife of 62 years: Carolyn Liles Threet, Ethridge, TN; one son: Stan Threet (Tinker), Lawrenceburg; two daughters: Susan Thompson (Norman), Ethridge, TN and Sandy Counce (Russell), Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren: Darcy Threet, Hollie Threet, Ben Threet, Colby Counce, Caroline Counce and Lilli Thompson; one great grandchild: Aubrey Marie Cull.
Funeral services for H. A. Threet were conducted at Mars Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, with Bubba Benefield and Tim Pettus officiating. Interment followed at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Those serving as pallbearers were Colby Counce, Ben Threet, Jed Pettus, Darren Long, Jimmy Wunner, and Duaine Rose. Honorary Pallbearers were Ronnie Hayes, Damon Deese, Bennie Long, Chase Long, Kenny Springer, Gerry Lambert, Ricky Ellis, Dennis Tipper, Wayne Jackson, Raymond Vaughn, Jimmy Baker, and Steven Hardy.
