Pursuant to a decree rendered by the Chancery Court, at Lawrenceburg, Tennessee filed on Oct. 19th, 2018 in the above styled case I will on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., sell at public auction to the highest and best bidder the property belonging to the Estate of Robert L. Hughes, Jr.
The sale will be held on the premises at 72 Hwy 20, Summertown, Tennessee. The property being more particularly described as follows:
On the N by Highway 20, on the E by Bobby Scott, on the S by Street and on the W by Tom Peden, being in the 11th Civil District of Lawrence County, Tennessee, lying between Crestview and Summertown, beginning in the S margin of the Central Turnpike at the NW corner of a tract and continuing S with the W line of said Tract owned by L.V. Powell, in all about 40 poles to a street; thence W with said Street to the SE corner of a tract formerly owned by Barron; thence N with Barron’s E line to said Turnpike, thence E with the same to the place of beginning, and containing by estimation, 3 acres, more or less.
Being also the same property conveyed to Carl E. Holloway and wife, Louise Holloway by Joe P. Watkins, Clerk and Master, as Special Commissioner of the Chancery Court of Lawrence County. In obedience to a Court Order rendered at the February term, 1959. Said deed being recorded in Book 113, Page 460, Register’s Office, Lawrence County, Tennessee.
Being the same parcel of land conveyed to Robert L. Hughes, Jr. and wife, Learlene Hughes by deed of record found at Deed Book 133, page 569, Register’s Office of Lawrence County, Tennessee. Learlene Hughes, also known as Lurline Hughes, died June 1, 2013 leaving Robert L. Hughes, Jr. as the surviving tenant by the entirety.

TERMS OF SALE: The above real estate will be sold for cash with 10% down day of sale with the remaining balance due within thirty (30) days after confirmation by the Court. The sale will be held open for ten (10) days until Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., during which time a person may come by the office of the Clerk and Master at the Lawrence County Courthouse and raise the highest bid received at the auction by 10% and depositing 10% of that bid with the court. If the bid is advanced, another auction will be held at the Lawrence County Courthouse on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00 am. The high bidder on that day will be the buyer. If the bid is not advanced, the high bidder at the sale will be the buyer. Possession passes upon delivery of deed. Taxes for 2019 to be prorated between the buyer and seller assuming 2018 tax rates.
