Jimmy Neal Cheek , age 77 of Iron City, TN passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at home after a brief illness.

He was a native of Hackleburg, AL, a United States Navy Veteran, a machinist for TVA, a member of Machinist Local 65, United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America, and of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ome & Katie Risner Cheek; daughter: Monica Cheek; and brother: Loyd Cheek.

He is survived by his wife: Janice Richter Cheek, Iron City, TN; three sons: Neal Cheek, Loretto, TN and  Richie Cheek and Jim Cheek, both of Iron City, TN; two daughters: Cindy Cheek, Florence, AL and Hope Cheek, Iron City, TN; two brothers: Dwight Cheek and Donald Cheek, both of Florence, AL; two sisters: Johnnie Cross, St. Joseph, TN and Linda Cheek, Florence, AL; six grandchildren: Bethany Woodard, Mikaela Riddle, Shelby Cheek, Josh Cheek, Nick Cheek, and Katie Cheek; two great-grandchildren: Knox Woodard and Hunter Cheek.

Funeral Services for Jimmy Neal Cheek were conducted at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Paul Dyar officiating. Burial followed at Hollis Cemetery. Loretto Memorial Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
