Roy Edwin Burlison, age 83, of Leoma, TN passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg.
He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and retired iron worker and foreman from Lawrenceburg Utility. He was also a charter member of the Lawrence County Coon Hunter’s Club and a member of Leoma Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Gilbert and Leola Hanson Burlison; two sons: Michael Boyd Burlison and Randall Brent Burlison; one daughter: Marion Renee Cromwell; and one sister: Martha Pitts.
He is survived by his wife: Leavel Burlison, Leoma, TN; one son: Richard Preston Burlison (Rhonda), Loretto, TN; eight grandchildren: Richard Paul Burlison, Carolyn Smith, Brook James, Jason Cromwell, Rachael Garland, Casey Cromwell, David Burlison, James Burlison; several great-grandchildren; four sisters: Wanda Ragan, Florence, AL, Willie Ruth Ferguson, Lawrenceburg, TN, Patricia Bedingfield, Leoma, TN and Ramona Edwards, Greenbrier, AR; one brother: Ronnie Burlison, Falkville, AL.
Funeral services for Roy Edwin Burlison were conducted at Leoma Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, with Rodney Livingston officiating.  Interment followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN  38105-9959.
