Perry Joe Whitsett, age 78 of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away on January 9, 2019.
He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Perry loved NASCAR, football, gardening, and coin collecting. Perry served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jones and Letha Whitsett; brothers: Frank Whitsett, Bill Whitsett; sisters: Ellawease Walker, Mary Stoesell, Christine Vandegrift.
Survivors include his wife: Sharon Jones Whitsett; sons, Claude Whitsett (Edith) of Houston, TX, Joey Whitsett of Little Rock, AK, Blake Clifton (Pam) of FL; sister: Faye Ray (Donald); six grandchildren: Dominique Whitsett, Preston Bridges, Tony Armentrout, Wesley Hainley, Hailey Armentrout, Shae Clifton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Perry Joe Whitsett were held at Gum Springs Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 with Bro. Chad Clanton officiating. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery.
