Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Taylor, age 69, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL.
He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, served on the Lawrenceburg Police Department for over 30 years, was Sheriff of Lawrence County for four years, and was a member of Crewstown Church of Christ. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifton and Pauline Rochell Taylor.
He is survived by wife: Belinda Taylor of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons: Chris Taylor (Stephanie) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Chad Taylor (Emily) of Christiana, TN; three brothers: Jerry Taylor (Sue), Jim Taylor, and Bill Taylor (Dalene), all of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters: Peggy Keaton (Bobby) of Lawrenceburg, TN; Patsy Carroll (Bill) of Greeneville, TN, and Shonda Eddins of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren: Owen Taylor, Bennett Taylor, Westin Taylor, and Kathryn Taylor; and one great-niece: Anna Bradbary.
Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Taylor were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 with Larry Murdock officiating. Burial followed at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
