James Lenard “Doc” White, age 87 of Leoma, TN passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, United States Army Veteran of WWII, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Five Points Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James M. and Mary Kennedy White; his wife: Grace Glass White; son: David Wayne White; brothers: Robert, George, Tom, and Odis White; sisters: Laura Henson, Vinnie Putman, Frances Steadman, Evelyn Braswell and Jewel Ritches; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for James Lenard “Doc” White were held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Nathan Holloway and Lee Harrison officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors presented at the graveside. Honory pallbearers included: Five Points Baptist Church, Crossroads Fire Department and Alton and Bobbie Huntley. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund. Loretto Memorial Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
