Carl Edward LaRue, age 79 of Leoma, TN, surrounded by family, ‘Went to be with his Lord and Savior’ on July 29, 2019.
A native of Princeton, West Virginia, born to the late George Allen and Macie LaRue, he was a Vietnam Veteran and was retired from GM.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Darlene LaRue; sisters: Ruth Naomi Vincent and Kathryn Louise LaRue; brothers: George Allen LaRue, James Franklin LaRue, Charles Thomas LaRue, and Bobby Eugene LaRue; sisters: Pearl Geniva Murray (Homer) Bethel, Ohio, and Shirley Beatrice Lay, Withamsville, Ohio.
Survivors include his son: Lance LaRue (Monica) Summertown, TN; and daughters: Carla Wilson, Leoma, TN, Lynn Menges, Lawrenceburg, TN and Lee Long (Jeff) Leoma, TN; grandchildren: Autumn Burleson (Ben), Angie Menges, Justin Toungette, Cayley Wilson, Riley and Anastyn LaRue, Dillon and Lindsay Dabbs; and great-grandchildren: Katelynn Burleson, Kynlee Burleson, and Aiden Keeton.
Funeral services for Carl Edward LaRue were conducted at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Brother Lanier Nail officiating. Burial followed at LaRue Family Cemetery in Leoma. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Autism charities and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
