Gladys Marie Schmitz Owens, age 85, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.
She was a native of Detroit, MI, former owner of AAA Florist, and a member of Our Lady, Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Huntsville, AL. She loved to go rock hunting, build doll houses, work on her computer, and read books by her favorite authors.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Cecilia Schmitz; and three sons: James Roger Owens, Timothy Michael Owens, and Matthew William Owens.
She is survived by one daughter: Pamela Owens Collins of Huntsville, AL; two sons: Thomas Owens of Lawrenceburg, TN and Joseph Owens of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother: Robert Schmitz of Detroit, MI.
Funeral mass for Gladys Marie Schmitz Owens was conducted at Our Lady, Queen of the Universe Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 with Father Joy Chalissery and Father Charley Alookaran officiating.
