RL White, age 85, of Leoma, TN passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his home.
A native of Lawrence County, TN, he was born August 15, 1933. He served as a Specialist in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 before relocating to Lansing, IL. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL, at the age of 45. After his retirement he returned to his home of Leoma, TN. He had a passion for gardening and yard work.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Nettie White; step-mother: Mary Calloway-White; his loving wife: Nell Huntley-White; three brothers: Eugene White, Joe White, and JC White; and three sisters: Opal Adams, Peggy Cox, and Louise Alexander.
He is survived by his daughter: Annette Littrell (Jackie) of Leoma, TN; one sister: Zeffie Dorsey of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren: Jeremy Miller of Waynesboro, TN, Meleah Littrell (Peyton) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Nakia Littrell (Axl) of Leoma, TN; three great-grandchildren: Emilee Mcdow, Elijah Gray, and Izaiah Gray; one great-great-grandson: Barrett Mcdow; several nieces and nephews; and special friend: Cora Lee Hardiman of Leoma, TN.
Funeral services for RL White were held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastors Jessie Littrell and Dustin Wilburn officiating.
