Hermon Glenn Johnson of Ethridge, TN departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2019 at his home at the age of 78 years, 10 months, 26 days.
He was born January 6, 1941 in Lewis County, TN, the son of the late Ellis and Eula Mae Graham Johnson. He was united in marriage to the former Betty Ruth Ayers on November 2, 1962. He retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Co. and was a member of the Lawrence County Classic Car Club and Antique Tractor Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Bryan Keith Johnson; and brother: Donald Johnson.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Ruth Johnson; daughter: Kim Beckman (Todd) all of Ethridge, TN; grandson: Ty Beckman (Morgan); brother: Norman Johnson, Florence, AL; and sister: June Dixon, Lawrenceburg, TN.
Funeral services for Hermon Glenn Johnson were held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, TN with Bill Murphy officiating. Burial was at McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County was in charge of all arrangements.
