LaVerne McCain Hammond, age 87, of Loretto, TN passed away Sunday December 8, 2019 at NHC Healthcare Scott after a brief illness.
She was a native of Lauderdale Co., AL, a homemaker and a member of Lexington Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Austin Hammond; parents: J.B. and Mamie Putman McCain; and brother: Bill McCain.
Survivors include two sons: Tim Hammond (Dawn), Loretto, TN and Tommy Hammond (Krista), Greenhill, AL; one brother: Clyde McCain (Shirley), Birmingham, AL; three grandchildren: Heather Hammond, Damien Zechariah, and Ethan Hammond.
Funeral services for LaVerne McCain Hammond will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel today, Wednesday December 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Danny Pettus and Jacob Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Portertown Cemetery. Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
