Betty Abernathy Bates, age 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at NHC Scott healthcare.
She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, born in Ethridge, TN, a retired teacher of 20+ years and was very active in various local clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents: joseph Williamson, Sr., and Lean Felton Williamson; three brothers: Felton, Beamon and J.C. Williamson; one sister: Ethelyn Sink; and daughter: Bonnie Abernathy.
Betty is survived by one daughter: Ramona Abernathy-Paine (Ernie) of Tallahassee, FL; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Arrangements were handled by Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN.
