Marie Tingle Young, age 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Summit Senior Living in Lawrenceburg, TN after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Lawrenceburg Cable TV, a lifelong member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church, a member of the Mars Hill Methodist “Oven Angels”, and a member of the Mars Hill Community Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Marion and Roxie Walker Tingle; husband of 48 years: L.R. “Pete” Young; five brothers: James Tingle, Harold Tingle, Leldon Tingle, William Tingle, Dan Tingle; four sisters: Pernie Young, Azalee Bonner, Vida Pigg, and Martha Bedford.
She is survived by her daughters: Debby Bedford (Terry Don) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Jennifer Sutherland (Brian) of Franklin, TN; son: Barry Young (Andrea) of Plaquemine, LA; grandsons: Jeremy Bedford (Candace), Ryne Young, Ethan Sutherland; granddaughter: Nikki Larson; four great-granddaughters: Kaylee Larson, Madison Bedford, Rayne Larson, Hadley Bedford; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Marie Tingle Young were conducted at Mars Hill United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 with Billy Beal officiating. Interment followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. Memorials may be made to Mars Hill United Methodist Church. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
