Shelby Jean Grimsley, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at her residence.
She was a native of Porterdale, GA, retired from South Central Human Resource Agency, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library and The Study Club; and helped with Habitat for Humanity,
She was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin and Elsie Blackstone Estes; her husband: Donald Eugene Grimsley; one son: Paul Grimsley; one daughter: Lois Grimsley; and two brothers: Thomas Estes and Lubie Estes.
She is survived by three sons: Steven Grimsley (Lori) of Brookfield, MO and Ronald Grimsley and Robert Grimsley of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter: Leslie Cross (Mark) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother: Buddy Estes of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law:  Mary Abild of Atlantic, IA; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service for Shelby Jean Grimsley will be held at a later date. Family suggests memorials be made to Loaves and Fishes Ministry, First United Methodist Church or Lawrence County Public Library.  Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
