John Earl Barnes, age 61, of Lawrenceburg, TN and previously of Columbia, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his residence.
Born on July 14, 1958 in Nashville, John was the son of the late Joseph Barnes and the late Lucille Irvine Barnes. He worked several years for the Maury County Landfill and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Ethridge. He loved helping people and enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Martha Jo Barnes.
He is survived by companion: Darlene Allen of Lawrenceburg; brothers: David (Nora) Barnes of Virginia, Clay Barnes of Columbia, James Barnes of Columbia, Bill (Christi) Barnes of Chattanooga; sister: Mary Riggins of Mt. Pleasant; and adopted grandson: Jonathan Addington.
