Nellie Lorene Mobbs Mattox, age 97, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN.
She was a native of Morgan County, AL, former owner of Noal and Lorene’s Bait Shop, and a member of Ethridge First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Monroe and Bessie Hipp Mobbs; her husband: Noal Mattox; six brothers: Major Mobbs, Leon Mobbs, Lorenzo Mobbs, Glen Mobbs, Neal Mobbs, and Harry Beamon Mobbs; and three sisters: Naoma Woodcock, Frances Bimstein, and Baby Sister.
She is survived by two brothers: Henry V. Mobbs (Sarah) of Ethridge, TN and Wayne Mobbs of Murfreesboro, TN; one sister: Ruth McDonald (Roy Neal) of Lewisburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 17, a private graveside service for Nellie Lorene Mobbs Mattox will be held at a later date. Neal Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
