Genell Allen Garland, age 84, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Country Cottage in Lawrenceburg, TN.
She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also a member of Ethridge Chapter 257 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Herschel and Willie Mae Foster Allen; her husband: William Garland; one son: Jackie Lee Garland; two sisters: Opal and Lucille; six brothers: Carl, Chester, Lester, Paul, Marvin, and Wayne; and one grandson, Matthew Adam Garland.
She is survived by one daughter: Patricia Garland of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons: Billy D. Garland (Barbara) of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Timothy W. Garland (Gayle) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters: Ruth Byrd of Columbia, TN and Faye Long (Billy) and Kaye Buie of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Genell Allen Garland were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020 with Danny Huckaba officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Neal funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. The family would like to say a special thank you to Country Cottage and Unity Hospice for all of their care.
