Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Sawyer, 69, of Loretto, TN, passed away June 10, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Ronnie was born in Cincinnati, OH and was a retired service writer for car dealerships. He was a United States Army Veteran and attended Loretto United Methodist Church. Ronnie was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his father: Marvin Sawyer, Sr.; sons: Brent and Brad Sawyer; and brother: Donnie Sawyer.
He is survived by his wife: Edith Sawyer of Loretto, TN; mother: Jean Sawyer of Florence, KY; son: Nathan Sawyer (Leslie) of Florence, AL; daughter: Nicole Sawyer of Loretto, TN and Gina Ayers King of Thompson Station, TN; brothers: Marvin Jr. “Buddy” Sawyer of Florence, KY and Gary Sawyer of Dry Bridge, KY; sisters: Jennie (Leon) Doyle and Sandra Schaffer, both of Florence, KY; grandchildren: Chasse Sawyer (Janna), Cooper Bromley, Jackson Sawyer, and John Thomas Sawyer; great-granddaughter: Sofia Grace Sawyer.
Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. Burial will follow at Restview Cemetery in Loretto, TN. Pallbearers will be: Roger Risner, Travis McDonald, Johnny McDonald, Allen Rogers, Wayne Hensley, Lee Barnett, and Dennis Sherrell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Loretto United Methodist Mountain Top Mission. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
