Jeanette Powell, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Oliver Birdie and Pearl Anna Jones Chandler; her husband: Roy Powell, Sr.; three brothers: John Chandler, Lavaughn Chandler, and Paul Chandler; and one sister: Helen Bradley.
She is survived by two sons: Michael R. Powell and Roy Powell, Jr. (Karen) both of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren: Jill Moore (Brice) of Five Points, TN and Lindsay Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN; beloved dog: Sadie; special friend: Melinda Goolsby; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jeanette Powell were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 with Max Kimbley officiating. Interment followed at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
