Rev. Deacon Samuel Charles Beckman, age 81, of Loretto, TN passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at home after an extended illness.
He was a native of Loretto, TN, a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lawrence County Right to Life, a Deacon of Loretto Sacred Heart Church, a self-employed carpenter, and a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Conrad and Teresa Neidert Beckman; brother: Al Beckman: and sister: Roseann Carol.
Survivors include his wife: Joyce Kerstiens Beckman of Loretto, TN; three sons: David Beckman, St. Joseph, TN, Phillip Beckman (Robin), Loretto, TN, and Matt Beckman (Jamie), Westpoint, TN; three daughters: Debbie Newton (Reggie), Mt. Juliet, TN, and Brenda Burks (Shayne) and Ramona Milam, both of Loretto, TN; brothers: William Beckman, Henry Beckman, Donald Beckman, Lloyd Beckman, Joseph Beckman, Richard Beckman and Wallace Beckman; sisters: Lois Janke, Noreen Sandy, Dianne McMasters and Mary White: twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass for Rev. Deacon Samuel Charles Beckman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Loretto Sacred Heart Church with Father Kevin Dowling and Deacon Mike Hume officiating.
