Marc Alain Salhany, of Ethridge, TN passed away at his home, Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at the age of 27. He was a member of the Lawrenceburg Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Marc Alain Salhany was born to Alan Salhany and Suzanne Jump Salhany on Friday, January 8, 1993. He graduated from Bill Egly SDA School, Lawrenceburg; Fletcher Academy, Fletcher, NC; and attended Southern Adventist University before joining the United States Navy as a Sonar Operator aboard the USS Port Royal guided missile cruiser, stationed out of San Diego, CA. Honorably discharged in 2017, Marc continued his education toward an English major and secondary teacher’s certification at Southern Adventist University until the school closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Marc loved to write and composed a number of unpublished works. He also loved music, sang in several choirs, and taught himself to play a number of stringed instruments.
In addition to his parents, Marc is survived by his brother: Michael Salhany, US Navy; sister: Krista Renee Salhany Dupont of Naples, ID; and brother: Andrew Salhany of Ethridge, TN; his paternal grandmother; niece; nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service for Marc Alain Salhany will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Lawrenceburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Condolences may be sent by way of: www.pettusturnbo.com.
