Robert Dan Ringelstein, age 86, of Leoma, TN passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at his residence.
He was a native of Florence, AL, owner of Leoma Monument Works and Lawrenceburg Dairy Dip, and a member of Leoma Church of Christ. Dan had a passion for bird hunting, trained bird dogs, and was well-known for being #1 quail hunter in the Southeast by Quail Hunter Magazine in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He loved his family, had a big sense of humor, and always bought children candy at the store. Mr. Ringelstein served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was in the 120th Medical Corp based in San Antonio, Texas while serving in Germany, Austria, and Korea.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Owen and Ann Muse Ringelstein; and one sister: Julia Bedford.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Barbara Ringelstein of Leoma, TN; three sons: Jeffrey Ringelstein of Leoma, TN, Rodney Ringelstein of Huntsville, AL, and Kent Ringelstein of Leoma, TN; four grandchildren:  (Jeffrey’s children) – Trinity Ringelstein and Kaleb Ringelstein, (Rodney’s children) – Jessica Taylor and Meagan Carroll;  five great-grandchildren: (Kaleb’s daughter) – Ava Klair Ringelstein, (Jessica’s children) – Jase, Jax and Jessa Taylor, and (Meagan’s son) – Mason Carroll; and one sister: Dorothy Faye Magee of Huntsville, AL.
Funeral services for Robert Dan Ringelstein were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, with Rodney Livingston officiating. Interment followed at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors. Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Condolences may be sent by way of: www.nealfuneralhome.net.
