Ruth Parrish White Brown, age 94, resident of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Countryside Health and Rehab.
Ruth was born January 6, 1927 in the mountains of Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Mamie Boles Parrish. Affectionately known as “Miss Ruth”, she worked most of her life in the manufacturing industry (Murray Ohio) and retired from Wal-Mart working in the lawn and garden center. She never met a stranger, enjoyed participating in the Senior Games, and loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children: Betty White Clayton, Robert White, and Gary White.
She is survived by son: Dewey “Butch” White of Lawrenceburg, TN; son-in-law: Willie Paul Clayton of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughter-in-law: Sandra White of Goodlettsville, TN; brother: George Parrish of California; five grandchildren: LeeAnn (Brent) Jerome of Arlington, TX, Christy (Rob) Behnke of Old Hickory, TN, Daniel (Ashley) Clayton of Lawrenceburg, TN, Cassie White of Nashville, TN, Lindsay White of Goodlettsville, TN; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private family service for Ruth Parrish White Brown will be held at a later date.
