Maria Felts
Maria Felts, age 70, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home in Lawrence County, TN after a very brief battle with cancer.
She was born on November 14, 1950 in Eagle Pass, TX. The third youngest of seven sisters, she was born to Manuel and Florentina Diaz. In 1989, she moved to Tennessee from Michigan as one of the first Saturn employees. She took early retirement from General Motors in 2006.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mema and Rosa Diaz; and her husband: Michael Felts.
She is survived by her only son: Justis Kivari; daughter-in-law: Stephanie Kivari; her “Baby Girl” granddaughter: Stella Kivari, sisters: Juana, Cuca, Tina and Martha; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend: Maybelle; and her furry, constant, faithful companion: Lola.
A Celebration of Life service for Maria Felts will be held at her home on Fawn Lane in Henryville, TN at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021.
