Woodie L. Escue

Woodie L. Escue, age 79, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at his residence.  He was a native of Summertown, TN, retired Forestry Agent for the State of Tennessee, a member of Whispering Hills Free Church Of God and a Sunday school teacher for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ruby Gray Escue; and three brothers, Charles D. Escue, Samuel Escue, and Walter Escue.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loese Escue of Summertown, TN; two daughters, Brenda Brown (Bunky) and Sherlyn Escue, both of Summertown, TN; two sons, Randy Escue (Stephanie) and Charlie Escue, both of Summertown, TN; one sister, Elizabeth Staggs of Summertown, TN; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021, and from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Whispering Hills Free Church Of God.  Funeral services will be conducted at Whispering Hills Free Church Of God at 3:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2021, with Thomas Mattox and Bill Webb officiating.  Interment will follow at Summertown Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
