Mildred Fields Brown, age 79 of Leoma, TN passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at home after an extended illness.
She was a native of Liberty Grove, TN, a retired cafeteria manager at West Highland Elementary School and a member of Dunn United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Oliver and Odell Campbell Fields; brothers: Milton, Kenneth and Bobby Fields; and sisters: Doris Ezell, Betty Eck and Nancy Moore.
She is survived by her husband: Raymond Brown of Leoma, TN; sons: Ray Brown and David Brown(Amy), both of Leoma, TN; brothers: James Fields and Shorty Fields (Ruth), of Lawrenceburg, TN and Ben Fields (Margaret) of Floresville, TX; sister: Peggy Kilgore of Smyrna, TN; three grandchildren: Olivia Gobble (Kase), Cora Allen (Michael) and Riley Brown (Olivia); and great-grandchildren: Fisher, Banks, Dean and baby Allen, Etta and Lane Brown.
Funeral services for Mildred Fields Brown were held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Jim Arrington officiating. Burial followed at Dunn Cemetery.
Loretto Memorial Chapel was in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family would like to express their appreciation to everyone at Caris Hospice: Alexis Zachary, Phyllis Dial, Kayla Bivens, Chloe Simbeck, Hannah Simbeck, Lexie Childress, Natalie Baltazar and Glenda Williams, for taking care of Mildred over the past four months; and to two very special people that always made Mildred smile: Ruth Fields and Tina Rohling. Thank you for your friendship.
