Margie Christine Williams, age 87, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Countryside Health and Rehabilitation.
She was a native of Lawrence County, TN and had spent the last four years of her life living with her grandson in Waynesboro, VA. She was a member of the Red Hat club and a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Sherman Gladney and Mary Elizabeth Davis Gladney; brothers: J.W., Larry, and Thomas Gladney; sisters: Katherine Myers, Dean Barnett, Ruth Slater and Alean Benefield; son-in-law: J.R. Luther; and special friend: Irene Robertson.
She is survived by her daughter: Sheila Luther; sisters: Juanita Clifft (Hugh), Gaynell Benefield; grandchildren: Jason Brewer (Lynn), Anthony Brewer (Katy); three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Nell Pettus and Linda Lee (Don).
Funeral services for Margie Christine Williams will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel with Caleb Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent by way of: www.pettusturnbo.com.
