Reba Marie Crews, age 81, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence.
She was born November 4, 1939, the daughter of Merrill and Thelma Bennett Heatherly. Her many interests included, playing cards and other games, woodworking, attending car races, and fishing. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was shown by her attendance and participation in numerous sports and crafting activities. She hosted countless meals and sleepovers for her nieces, nephews, and the friends of her children and grandchildren. Her love for others extended to members of her church family with her involvement in various church functions and activities.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Raymon “Louie” Crews; son: Preston “Pete” Crews; and brothers: Ernest, Gerald, Charles, and Kenneth Heatherly.
She is survived by her children: Monte (Barbara) Crews and Sonja Hill of Summertown, TN and Connie (Roger) Cooper of Lawrenceburg, TN; brother: Lester Heatherly of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren: Tyler (Tiffany) Crews of Columbia, TN, Wendy (Keith) Powell and Justin Hill of Summertown, and Jason Hill of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren: Eli Powell, Collins Powell, Maggie Crews, and Henry Crews; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Reba Marie Crews was held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Ethridge Church of Christ with Jeff Johnston officiating.
