Peggy Kay Dixon of Collinwood, TN was born July 22, 1938 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Calvin S. and Lillie E. Bryant Dixon. She married Charles Grayson Dixon on June 16, 1955 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2017.
She was an insurance agent with Dixon Insurance and worked with Dixon Jewelry. She was a member of Shawnettee Church, Collinwood, TN and the Rocky Top Ramblers. She departed this life on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home at the age of 83 years, 2 months, 19 days.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughter: Wanda Kay Dixon; brothers: Thomas, Ray and Kenneth Dixon; and sister: Bessie Mae Keeton.
She is survived by her son: Gregory Charles Dixon; and daughter: Sheron Dixon Arrington, both of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren: Elizabeth Daniel (Matthew) and Gabrielle and Analise Arrington; along with honorary grandchild: Tobie Reed; great-grandchild: Nadiya Daniel; sister: Carolyn Love (Billy) of Collinwood, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Peggy Kay Dixon were held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, TN, with Jason Love officiating. Burial followed at Shawnettee Cemetery in Collinwood, TN. Pallbearers were: Stacey Wharton, Brad Reed, Timmy Keeton, Thomas Wisdom, Carl Wisdom and Mark Gobbell. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family with arrangements.
