Michael Patrick Massey, age 63, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born June 7, 1958 in Rensselaer, IN, Michael was the son of the late Bobby Glynn Massey and the late Mary Ann Barber Massey. A well-known real estate agent in Lawrenceburg, he owned Massey Real Estate and most recently worked for Home and Country Realty. He also previously worked as an auctioneer, and years ago, he and his brother installed flooring for their family business, The Rug Barn. Michael was a people person who had many friends and enjoyed entertaining others. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Ila Massey.
He is survived by his son: Patrick Massey of Knoxville, TN, daughters: Nicole Hinton and Rachel Wright, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; siblings: Derrell (Debbie) Massey of Lawrenceburg, TN, Cindy (Dwight) Daniel of Five Points, TN, Glynda Scott of Florence, AL; grandchildren: Elijah Hinton, Enoch Hinton, Aurora Wright; special friend: Tammy Sova; close buddy: Rick Lanning; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will celebrate the life of Michael Patrick Massey with services at a later date in Lawrenceburg. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
