Ruby Inez McFall Gilchrist left to be with her Lord Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at NHC Brink Street, Lawrenceburg, TN after an extended illness.
Inez was a devoted Christian and member of Deerfield Church of Christ, loved gardening and working in her flowers, and was a wonderful seamstress.
She was born September 26, 1929 to parents, Odie and Robert McFall formerly of Cypress Inn, TN. Her husband of 63 years, J.C. Gilchrist, preceded her in death on November 18, 2015. She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Robert Jr., Kenneth Ross, Grayford, Carl and Charles Edward McFall.
Inez is survived by four children: Danny and Janice Gilchrist, Randy and Debbie Gilchrist, Melissa and Tommy Clayton and Gail and Gene Staggs, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister: Elaine (Kenneth) Austin of Central, AL; one brother: Freddie McFall of Cloverdale, AL;
Inez loved her grands: Emily Smith (Anthony), Kelly Staggs (Brad), Ashley Allen (Daniel), Jennifer Parnell (R.J.), and special grands: Gina Cox Bennett and Brent Cox, whom she loved as her own; and her great-grands: Kylie Grace Gilchrist, Addison Kate Allen, Libby Jane Staggs, Audrey Kate Staggs and Jack Ellis Parnell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ruby Inez McFall Gilchrist were held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Collinwood, TN with Nolan Burns officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisted the family with arrangements. Pallbearers included: Terry McFall, Rodney McFall, Brad Staggs, Anthony Smith, R.J. Parnell and Daniel Allen.
