Susie Lumpkins Davis, age 101 years, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at St. Thomas Hospital after a very brief illness.
Susie was born February 23, 1920.  She was a longtime resident of Lawrence County since age 9. She attended Loretto High School and was retired from Salant and Salant. Susie was a much-loved member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 1:00 on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Pulaski Street Church of Christ with funeral services to follow at 1:00. Burial will follow at Mimosa Cemetery.
Susie is survived by her sister: Frances Headrick (Charles) of Arrington; three children: daughter Patsy Davis Partin (Herman) of Nashville; sons Jim Davis (Mary) of Nashville; and Bob Davis (Leriel) of Franklin. She is survived by eight grandchildren: Julie Cox (Jeff); Matt Davis (Kristin); Laura Cate (Brandon) Amanda Franklin (Jeremy); Lisa Raby (Andrew); Christy Nunez (Lino); Katie Gospodarek (Jason); and Justin Davis. She is survived by 20 great-grandchildren: Bradshaw Cate; Laura Abigail Cate; Sophia Cox; Elliott Davis; Emma Gospodarek; Aaron Davis; Amelia Franklin; Maddie Gospodarek; Noah Raby; Kaia Raby; Judah Cox; Jackson Nunez; Nora Gospodarek; Lily Raby; Isaac Franklin; Wyatt Cox; Levi Raby; Trek Raby; David Nunez; Miles Nunez. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Ray C. Davis; parents: Will and Pearl Lumpkins; brothers: Bob Lumpkins, Harry Lumpkins, Buddy Lumpkins; sister: Virginia Smith.
