Jerry Edward Poe, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home.
He was a native of Altoona, AL, a United States Navy veteran, retired pastor and carpenter, and member of the Masonic Lodge and Liberty Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Barrow Poe; daughter: Lila Louise Poe; grandson: Samuel Allen Poe; parents: Elmer and Lila Cheeves Poe; brothers: Macon Poe and Rusty Poe and sisters: Margaret Vickery and Sue Troxel.
He is survived by his sons: Jerry A. Poe (Pamela) of Harvest, AL and Steven Poe of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters: Rebecca Barnett (Jim) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Elaine Gibson (Frankie) of Pulaski, TN; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jerry Edward Poe were held at Liberty Grove Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 with Steve Seaton officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Grove Cemetery.
