Geneva Chambers Crabb of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Thursday, February 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 4, 1924, in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late Ansol and Hettie Chambers. She retired from the State of Tennessee after many years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Goodlettsville. She was a talented seamstress and quilter and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years: Alvin Crabb; granddaughter: Ruth Geneva Crabb; brother: Charles Sutton; and twin sister: Genece McKamey.
She is survived by her son: Michael (Linda) Crabb; grandchildren: Mike (Jan) Crabb and Jennifer (Michael) Dodson; and great-grandchildren: Megan, Garrett and Dylan Crabb, and Allie and Nathan Dodson; sister: Ramona Hamby; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service honoring Geneva Chambers Crabb will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Lyle Larson and Mr. Bob West officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to First Baptist Church of Goodlettsville or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
