Jonathan Casey “John” Tennery, age 59, of Iron City, TN passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center.
John was a long time employee of Iron City Stamping and a member of Greenhill First Baptist Church. He was born February 21, 1963 in Marion, OH and graduated from Loretto High School. He was a founding member of Ambassadors of Hope, doing mission work in Honduras.
He was preceded in death by one son: Andrew Jacob Tennery.
Survivors include his wife: Diana Khawand Tennery; son: Benji Tennery (Tricia); daughters: Crystal Ramsey (Gary) and Sapphira Tennery; brothers: Ronald Tennery, Timothy Tennery, and Melvin “Billy” Tennery, Jr.; sisters: Brenda Simkovich (Wayne), Cindy Jones (Bobby), and Tammy Brewer (Stephen); parents: Melvin and Alice “Sue” Tennery; grandkids: Alex “A.J” and Ellyssa Tennery, Gary Ramsey, Jr., Hunter Armstrong, Hailey Akers, and Eli Ramsey; and great-grandchild: Gemyn Ramsey
Funeral services for Jonathan Casey “John” Tennery were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in the chapel of Greenhill Funeral Home, with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Burial followed at Greenhill Cemetery. Greenhill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
