Hattie Mae McConnell, age 84, of Ethridge, TN passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at her residence.
Born March 21, 1938 in Pulaski, TN, Hattie married Richard O. McConnell on October 3, 1959. Together they were long time members of Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She loved taking care of children and watching game shows. Above all, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her father: James “Bud” Malone; son: Richard McConnell; brother: Charles Malone; and sister: Jewel Walker.
In addition to Richard, her husband of sixty-two years, she is survived by her children: John “Dwight” McConnell of Lawrenceburg, TN, Nancy (Jeff) Hart of Loretto, TN, Betty Davis (Dale Darks) of Santa Fe, Bobby Joe (Stacy) McConnell of Florida, Kathy McConnell (Clifford Tidwell) of Ethridge, TN, Michael McConnell (Peggy Hipp) of Lebanon, TN, Bubba McConnell of Ethridge, TN, Christina McConnell of Columbia, TN and Michael McConnell, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, TN; brother: James (Betty) Malone of Minor Hill, TN; sister: Gay “Billie” Hunt of Pulaski, TN; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Hattie Mae McConnell were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Giles County with Roger Creasy and J.B. Higgins officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with all arrangements. Condolences may be offered by way of: www.tnfunerals.com.
