Nancy Brachear Paver Mitton
Nancy Brachear Paver Mitton
Nancy Brachear Paver Mitton passed away January 7, 2023 after a short, fierce battle with cancer. She was born in 1957 in Illinois to Donna and Keith Brachear.
Nancy loved spending time at her grandparents’ farms and knew from an early age that she wanted to own a farm and raise horses. She moved to California as a teenager and graduated from Woodland High School in 1976. She met her future husband and soul mate, Brian Paver, when she lived in Santa Cruz, CA and they married in 1979. They moved to Brian’s home state of Florida and had two sons: Michael Wayne and Daniel Cale Paver. Brian passed away suddenly at age 42.
Later in life, Nancy was able to buy her dream farm in Lawrenceburg, TN. She raised horses and was especially pleased to adopt and care for her Morgan horse, Chance. He was the son of one of the horses she rode as a child at the Brachear Family Farm. Nancy worked at the local Wal-mart and met many of her favorite people. Her work was important to her and she enjoyed working with her friends and helping customers. She was still employed at Wal-mart at the time of her death.
Nancy loved junking and dining with her best friends Pat Hunter and Paulette Bobbitt. She loved to work and play equally. She impacted so many people around her for the better and was kind to a fault. She was a great mother to her kids and the best sister and friend to all. She was an amazing person and words cannot begin to describe the void she will leave.
She is survived by her two sons: Wayne and Cale; five sisters: Beverly, Angela, Rosemarie, Margaret, Kayla; and one brother: Jonathan.
A Celebration of Life for Nancy Brachear Paver Mitton will be held February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Five Points Baptist Church.
