Clara Crews Mabry Adair, 91 of Leoma, TN was called home on Friday, April 28, 2023 at NHC Lawrenceburg.
She was born in Leoma, TN on the Rabbit Trail Road. She held multiple roles throughout her life from employment with Salant & Salant and other local factories, wife and mother, homemaker, helping her husband raise cattle back in the day, and her favorite, being a grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Hill Church of God. She enjoyed traveling, gospel singings, bluegrass music, caring for her pets, and following politics. She lived most of her life in Lawrence County, TN, but spent 20 enjoyable years in Huntsville, AL. She battled many health issues throughout life and always said with your faith in Jesus and a positive attitude, you can be an overcomer and she was. She enjoyed life!
She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank Crews and Viola Yeager Crews; one brother: Harold New; one sister: Mildred Crews Wood; one brother-in-law: Otto Hammond; and husbands: Billy G. Mabry and Robert Adair.
Survivors include her daughter: Melanie Mabry Braswell (Norman) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister: Margaret Hammond of Leoma, TN; two grandchildren: Grace Dillon (Rick) of Ohio and Faith Braswell of Lawrenceburg, TN; one great-grandchild: Jack Dillon; a baby boy on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to NHC caregivers and Gentiva Hospice for the care they provided.
Graveside services and interment for Clara Crews Mabry Adair were conducted at Freemon Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 with Chad Moore and Charles Fritts officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House. Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
