Leo Berry
Leo Berry was born September 20, 1940 in Cypress Inn, TN the son of the late Ernest and Roxie Berry. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ellen Balentine on April 30, 1966. Leo retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing where he worked on the rider line. He was also a member of Zion Baptist Church and Stateline Church. Leo departed this life on August 22, 2023 in Collinwood, TN at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 2 days.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by sister: Peggy Holt; brother-in-law: Donald Balentine; sisters-in-law: Faye Balentine, Brenda Berry, and Tracy Berry; nephew: Evan Wade Holt; and faithful canine companion: Rambo.
He is survived by sons: Rory Berry of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Derek Berry of Trinity, AL; brothers: Zeno Berry (Catheron) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Bill Berry (Eveline) of Selmer, TN, Allen Berry (Peggy) of Cypress Inn, TN, Mark Berry (Jane) of Iron City, TN, and Gary Berry of Cypress Inn, TN; and sisters: Daffo Holt (Harley) of Durango, CO, and Jennie Whitten (Johnny) of Iron City, TN.
Funeral services for Leo Berry were held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Stateline Church in Iron City, TN with Greg Stults and Chad Balentine officiating. Burial followed at Jackson Cemetery at Cypress Inn, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN was in charge of all arrangements.
