David Collins, age 72, of Shelbyville, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023 under the loving care and comfort of his family, Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital, and Aveanna Hospice.
He enjoyed writing and playing music on his guitar, reading National Geographic, and watching baseball on television.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Baxter Collins and Jessie Lorine (Compton) Collins.
He is survived by his sister: Carol Sue Collins Hutchinson (Jim) of Franklin, TN; nephews: Kevin Wesley Avent (Andrea) of Pittsburgh, PA; Brian Baxter Avent (Michelle) of Nashville, TN.
Cremation was handled by Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, Shelbyville, TN. His ashes will be scattered on the soil at a later date. There will be no public service.
